SENS-AZIONE

The idea stems from the use of copper to combat bacterial proliferation on its surface, making it extremely suitable for those objects in contact with humans and especially with children.
So I chose copper for the tactile language of the blind.

The "Sens-Action" project is a teaching and inclusion tool for people with or without disabilities. A simple and safe way to teach Braille to visually impaired or blind children; a way to sensitize people of all ages and abilities on the usefulness and topicality of Braille and to reinforce a sense of belonging and group.

In a time when we need to be connected, global, dynamic, modern man should also learn how to interact, share emotions and experience empathy.

Thanks to copper, the design aesthetic will have a strong impact, deviating from conventional teaching methods. The shiny copper allows to distinguish letters and numbers as we commonly read them, leaving total tactile attention instead to the Braille in relief.
The rest of the nut is made of opaque copper, while the guides on which the sentences will be constructed will be in polished copper.
